Build a scored survey or quiz
Assign points to choices, define outcome thresholds, and test the score participants receive.
Assign points to choices
Enable Scoring & quizzes in the survey settings, then edit the points on your choice options. Multiple choice, dropdowns, checkboxes, and image choices support scoring. A single-choice answer contributes the selected option’s points; multiple selections add their points together. Unanswered and unscored choices contribute zero.
For a knowledge quiz, you might give a correct option one point and other options zero. For an assessment, use point values that match your intended scoring method. A scored quiz is not automatically a validated research measure.
Set outcome bands
Each outcome has a minimum total. Plumeform chooses the outcome with the highest minimum at or below the participant’s score. For example, minimums of 0, 4, and 8 put a score of 6 in the band starting at 4. Give each band a distinct threshold and include a low enough starting band for every possible total.
Choose whether to show the numeric score. Preview the outcome wording and any follow-up action alongside your thank-you screen and study debrief.
Test the edge cases
Try the lowest and highest scores, each threshold, and totals immediately below each threshold. Include multiple selections and any skipped questions.
The maximum score is calculated from the configured scored questions, not simply the questions a participant answered. Branching can therefore leave someone below that maximum even if every answer they gave was correct. Test every routed path before presenting the result as a percentage or grade.
