INTEGRATIONS · PROLIFIC

Run a Prolific study, wired right.

The full Prolific loop is built in: ID capture, completion codes and redirects, screen-out routing, one-response enforcement, and test mode. This page is the setup reference; every step is two minutes or less.

See the whole loop in 60 seconds — no account needed.

This link opens a live two-question survey with sample Prolific IDs in the URL. Complete it and you'll be redirected with the completion code and every captured ID displayed — exactly what a real study does.

01Set your study URL in Prolific

In your Prolific study, set the survey link to your Plumeform survey with Prolific's URL parameters:https://plumeform.com/s/YOUR-SLUG?PROLIFIC_PID={{%PROLIFIC_PID%}}&STUDY_ID={{%STUDY_ID%}}&SESSION_ID={{%SESSION_ID%}}All three IDs are captured automatically — no setup inside Plumeform — and stored on every response, including partials. The share screen in your dashboard generates this exact URL for you.

02Choose how completion is confirmed

In the builder's Settings tab, either paste Prolific's completion URL (with your completion code) into Redirect on finish — participants are sent straight back and auto-credited — or set a completion codeto display on the thank-you screen for manual entry. With “redirect immediately” on, there's no thank-you screen at all: submit → Prolific, the flow participants expect.

03Wire screen-outs (if you screen)

Screening logic (“screen out” rules or full quotas) can send ineligible participants to a separate screen-out redirect with its own code, so they return to Prolific as screened rather than abandoned — the fair-treatment flow Prolific's policies expect. Quotas stop collection per segment the moment it fills.

04Enforce one response per participant

Turn on one response per panel participant in Settings: the PROLIFIC_PID on the link is allowed one submission, enforced server-side. Returning participants are turned away at the door with a clear message, before answering anything.

05Pilot in test mode

Append ?test=1to your survey URL for pilot runs: submissions are stored, visibly flagged, excluded from results and exports by default, and purgeable in one click. Prolific preview traffic is handled the same way MTurk's ASSIGNMENT_ID_NOT_AVAILABLE preview is — it never pollutes your data.

06Check your export

Every CSV/XLSX row carries PROLIFIC_PID, STUDY_ID, SESSION_ID, per-question response times, attention-check flags, and completion timestamps — approve/reject decisions are a filter, not a cross-referencing exercise. Bulk-copy the IDs of flagged responses straight from the results page.

Built with Prolific's rules in mind

Attention checks match Prolific's policy

Plumeform's attention checks are instructed-response format ("select 'Disagree'") — the format Prolific's participant policy accepts as grounds for rejection. Trick questions aren't part of the feature. Failing a check flags the response in results and exports; nothing is ever auto-rejected — the researcher always decides.

Accurate duration estimates

The welcome screen shows an estimated completion time, and per-question timing on every submission gives you real medians for setting Prolific's estimated time honestly.

Participant experience

No account, no login, no third-party scripts on survey pages, mobile-first layouts, and forced time-outs are never applied — participants can take the time they need.
