TWO WAYS TO ASK

One question at a time. Or all at once.

Show one question per screen, or let people work through a page of questions together. Both formats are included on every plan. Try the toggle to compare them.

LOGIC & PIPING

Ask follow-ups that fit the answer.

Use answers to choose the next page or skip questions that don't apply. On Pro, you can also reuse an earlier answer in a later question: {{q:name}}Adi turns into whatever the person typed. And you can edit a running survey without breaking the answers you already have.

RESULTS

Watch answers land, live.

Charts update as responses arrive. Open an individual response or filter the results by an answer. Answers are saved page by page, so you can see which question people stop at, even when they never finish. All of it is on every plan.

Academic research

Response quality checks, built in.

Set eligibility rules before you launch, track response quality while you collect, and keep those checks in your export. Panel IDs, completion codes, one response per participant and quality flags are free. Attention checks, screening, quotas, randomization and time locks are Pro.

Built for researchers →

The research controls are on Pro. $15 for 10,000 responses a month.

Attention & speed checks
Flag unusually fast responses and repeated answer patterns for review on every plan, and failed attention checks on Pro.
Quotas & screenersPRO
Screen respondents in or out on their answers, and stop collecting once a segment fills.
RandomizationPRO
Shuffle questions and options to reduce the effect of their position in the survey.
Minimum-time locksPRO
Keep a question on screen for a minimum time before respondents can continue. How long every response took is recorded on every plan.
Panel-ready
Works with Prolific, CloudResearch Connect and MTurk on every plan: participant IDs captured, completion codes and redirects, one response per participant.
Quality flags in your export
Quality flags stay attached in CSV exports (and XLSX on Pro), so you can apply your exclusion rules in analysis.

Embed anywhere

Let people answer on your own page.

Embed a survey in your website or app. People can answer there, and you can read their responses in your Plumeform dashboard.

Thirty ways to ask

Choose how people answer.

The free plan has 21 of the 30 question types, including the ones research depends on: best–worst, constant sum, semantic differential, ranking and the Kano pair. Sliders step or run continuous, ratings come as stars or faces, and dates ask for a time or a range. Pro adds the research instruments (price sensitivity, pairwise comparison, Q-sort, card sorting, click maps, highlighting, conjoint and reaction-time tasks) and file upload, which can record a voice answer too, because files take storage.

After the answers arrive

See how the answers compare.

Compare groups in a cross-tab on every plan, and on Pro run a significance test on the difference. See the sample sizes alongside the results before drawing a conclusion.

A visible gap can still be consistent with sampling variation. The test helps you judge the evidence for a difference. Pro also includes:

  • Compare segments — any group against any other, on any answer
  • Weighting — match your sample to a population, and it follows into every export
  • A clean dataset — decide once what counts as unusable and it leaves results, charts and exports together

Compare your audience

How likely are you to recommend us?

Recommendation split by plan, with a chi-square test of independence. Changes are percentage points from the first group to the second.
AnswerFreen=204Pron=181
Promoter (9–10)+23 pts31%(63)54%(98)
Passive (7–8)42%(86)33%(60)
Detractor (0–6)−14 pts27%(55)13%(23)

Significant difference

χ² = 22.1, df = 2 · p < 0.001

In this sample, paying customers are more likely to be promoters. The test finds a statistically significant association.

Open-text answers

Find the themes in what people wrote.

On Pro, AI reads up to 400 of the latest written answers to a question and sums them up: a short summary, the overall mood, and the main themes, each with an estimated number of mentions and a quote.

Surveys in more than one language are Pro too: AI can draft each translation for you to check, people answer in their own language, and every answer lands in one dataset.

Follow-up question

12 answers

Why did you give that score?

  • Support fixed it in an hour.
  • Too pricey for a small team.
  • Calendar sync keeps breaking.
  • Set up in ten minutes.
  • In French: Le support est top.
  • The app keeps logging me out.
  • Cheaper tools do enough.
  • A real person always answers.
  • Lost work to a sync bug.
  • In Spanish: Demasiado caro para mí.
  • Easy to get going.
  • Quick, friendly support.

Asked in three languagesPRO

  • English: Why did you give that score?
  • Spanish: ¿Por qué diste esa puntuación?
  • French: Pourquoi cette note ?

One dataset. Each answer stays in the language it was written in.

An example: the answers are made up and the summary is written in advance. Nothing here is sent or saved.

Make it yours

A survey that looks like yours.

Choose a page layout, then adjust its colors and type. Add your logo and name so people know who is asking. Classic and the default look are free; the other layouts, themes and your own brand are Pro to publish, and you can preview all of it first.

Classic

One clean column. The default, and the only template on Free.

  • Progress on a floating pill
  • One question at a time, or all on one page
  • Your font, your accent, your corner shape

Template × theme

54

Contrast is tested for each template with every preset theme, along with difficult custom color combinations. Text and progress colors adapt to the background.

Nine themes, or your own hex.

A theme is a four-color palette: it sets the background, accent, buttons, font and corner shape while keeping your logo and wording. You can then choose custom colors, a gradient or photograph, and any of the six fonts. Themes and custom looks are Pro to publish; the default look is free.

Contrast

We check questions, answers, progress indicators and small print for WCAG AA text contrast across the preset combinations.

Fit

Each template is loaded at phone and desktop widths and checked for anything that overflows sideways.

Colors that adapt

Text turns light on a dark background. Labels on pale accents darken to keep them readable when you choose your own colors.

Connect

Send each response where your team works.

Add every completed response to a Google Sheet, notify a Slack channel with a link to the responses, or create and update HubSpot contacts. Your own code gets a signed webhook and a read-only Results API, and the webhook can point at Zapier or Make instead.

Google Sheets, Slack, HubSpot, webhooks and the API are Pro. CSV export and sharing are on every plan.

Questions

Before you start.

Find the basics here and step-by-step answers in the help center. You can also reach us at hello@plumeform.com.

Visit the help center
Do people need an account to answer my survey?
No. Anyone with the link can answer. If you want to know who answered, add an email question to the survey. That stays your decision.
What happens if I go over the free limit?
You can keep collecting for the rest of that day, up to 10% over your limit, and your dashboard will prompt you to upgrade. After that, collection pauses until you upgrade or your monthly allowance resets. Responses already collected stay saved.
Is anything important locked behind Pro?
The basics are all free: 21 of 30 question types, both display modes, unlimited surveys, jump logic, CSV export. Pro buys volume, AI drafting, the research pack (informed consent, time locks, attention checks, randomization, screening and quotas), bot protection, significance tests, segments and weighting, panel payout lists, team seats, branding removal (on free surveys the closing screen shows a Plumeform badge and, after a moment, goes on to plumeform.com), custom looks and survey links, show/hide logic and piping, the research question types (price sensitivity, pairwise comparison, Q-sort, card sorting, click maps, highlighting, conjoint and reaction-time tasks) and file uploads, survey import, multi-language surveys with AI translation, AI summaries of open-text answers, longitudinal studies, the Results API, XLSX, codebook and R exports, and the integrations: webhooks, Google Sheets sync, Slack and HubSpot.
Can I edit a survey that's already collecting answers?
Yes. Publishing saves a frozen copy, and each response remembers which copy it answered. So you can reword or reorder questions whenever, and the answers you already have still make sense.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Export CSV on Free, or use XLSX and webhooks on Pro. Download any results you want to keep before deleting your account.
